As a UI Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging and user-friendly interfaces for our Unreal Engine projects. You'll work closely with gameplay designers and engineers to translate gameplay mechanics into intuitive UI elements, ensuring a seamless and immersive player experience. Your expertise in design principles, UMG, and Unreal Engine's UI tools will be crucial in delivering polished, dynamic interfaces that enhance the overall game experience. Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of the flow and theme of the survival game UI.
- Ensure all UI elements are intuitive, immersive, and enhance the survival experience.
- Own the development of smaller UI features and systems.
- Create UI setup and layouts in-game using the provided tools.
- Collect and provide feedback, applying it as intended by the creative directors and design leads.
- Develop UI for multiple platforms and input methods to the highest possible standard.
Requirements
- Excellent skills in designing and creating visual assets.
- Strong understanding of UI design patterns, particularly in survival and open world games.
- Passion for perfecting the UI experience in a complex, systemic game.
- Hands-on experience delivering UI features in game production.
- Technical/hands-on experience building user interfaces with UX/UI authoring tools.
- Shipped at least one console and/or PC title in an active role as a UI designer.
- Strong ability to communicate with team members across different disciplines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with design and prototyping tools such as Photoshop, Axure, Balsamiq, Adobe XD, or Figma.
- Excellent written and spoken English.

Nice to Haves
- Deep familiarity with survival games and extensive experience playing and analyzing them critically.
- Experience in UI design and production for survival or open world games.
- Noesis or WPF/XAML production experience.
- Experience with usability testing.
